Hi folks, I’m new to MaintainX and still finding my feet.

I need to understand how to prompt a follow-up Work Order if a Yes / No / N/A field is flagged as “NO”

Any help very gratefully received.

Hi @davidH. You would be open to using the Pass/Flag/Fail field instead of the Yes/No/NA field? With the Pass/Flag/Fail field you can configure corrective action work orders to be prompted when the field is flagged and/or failed, which sounds like it would meet your need here.

Here’s an example of what a corrective action work order prompt looks like:

And then the follow-up work order is created from there (can be edited further if needed):

You can enable/configure this from Feature Settings > Work Orders > Set Preferences:

Let me know if this works for you!

Hi @Zach Brown, thanks for the detailed reply.

I've settled initially on using the Inspection box with Flag and fail both generating corrective actions.

I find it odd that exactly the same functionality isn't available with the Yes / No / N/A box.

You have my sincere thanks for taking the time out to help.
