Due date colored fonts?

In the work order tab (table view), I have our work orders set up in the order in which they are due.  On the rare occasion that the work order goes “overdue” the date’s font turns red.  Is there any settings to make it turn yellow (or just something other than black) like a day or two before the due date?  Just so one can see at a quick glance the work orders that are getting ready to be due.  Thanks in advance!

Time and Cost Tracking EnhancementsProposed enhancements that would provide a more in-depth costing analysis of each work order.  Allowing for specific cost items or custom labelled cost items to be added would significantly improve this module, rather than just adding and/or exporting them as "Other Costs".Such as: Preliminary expenses (Architect, engineer, building consent, Insurance etc) Subcontractor cost/s Materials (Per material item) Consumables (nails, screws, adhesives) Tools & equipment (if hired or purchased) General expenses Labour Travel expenses  Transport/shipping expenses Rubbish or site wasteOther Proposed Enhancements: Having a budgeting section in the cost tracking module to allow proposed costs within a work order. Enhanced Requester Notifications

Hi there, I have been using MaintainX for the past few months, and I really like it for the most part, however, there are some functionality issues I have found, such as: We have over (100) requesters in our system, but they currently do not receive a notification of a new comment or tagged item within their requested work order. A requester has to manually check their requested work order for the additional comms; however, they end up emailing or calling us to find out why they aren’t receiving notifications or asking what is happening with their requested work order, which is adding significant delays to the resolution of a work order and unnecessary admin. It allows you to tag their name in the comments but doesn’t notify them. Having 2-way comms within each work order would streamline the process considerably. Currently a requester will only receive notifications when their request is approved, declined or completed. Proposed improvement: Allow requesters to receive all notificatio

Good morning, all. I would like to know how to print a specific asset list; i.e. just a list of my pumps or relief valve.  I’m sure it’s easy, but I haven’t been able to figure it out.  Thanks,  Mark

Maximum in Stock

There is a useful “Minimum in Stock” tool within MaintainX, however there is no “Maximum in Stock” tool. When placing parts and/or consumable orders, MaintainX will automatically fill in the “Units Ordered” field with the number needed to get inventory back to the minimum level, however it would be more useful to have MaintainX auto fill this number to the maximum units needed. The system is good at showing the items that “need restock” based off the minimum units, but to have it also autofill the ordered units based off the maximum units would make this process perfect. Thanks!

Regions and Districts for Locations

I tend to view locations as sites (aka job-sites, property sites).  Is there a way to assign a location to a region, and a district if applicable, and then when looking up locations, on screen, I can see/sort by region, and drill down to district, when needed? Further, would I also then (if the above is available) be able to see active, complete, in progress, etc. work orders by region, and if needed district)?

Edit button on top left of work order

Hello. When we originally started making PM’S, we set a recurrence date on specific PM’s. Recently we found that some of the PM’s were not getting done. What we found was some of the PM’s that we put a recurrence on and assigned to specific maintenance personnel, were being changed (the recurrence date). On the PM’s or work orders, there is an edit button in the top right hand corner. Is there a way to eliminate or lock out lower level users from being able to use the edit button to change recurrence times/dates, or the “assigned to” option? It doesn’t make sense as a manager to be assigning work to specific employees, just to have them assign it to someone else or be able to change the due date/time, or the recurrence date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am curious if/ how other are using Mx to document work, events etc outside the Work Order system.  For example if I respond to an alarm, but no work is required, how are you capturing the alarm event so that there is a history? What I am looking for is a complete asset history, all work orders, in promptu inspections, etc.

Work Order Table View idea

Wondering if there is a way to organize the columns on this view (move the columns around)?  A screen like this is like an “overview” of active work orders and moving the column locations, while also removing some columns (filters) allows the user to reorganize the way they view work in progress.  In fact, this would be a nice feature on all table view screens.

Updating "last calibration date" in asset list

We are using MaintainX to track certain equipment calibrations. We have the work order categorized as “calibration” Is there a way to have the “last calibration date” updated when a calibration work order is completed? This seems like a pretty basic function. Otherwise it requires manually updating every asset in addition to performing the work order.MaintainX offered to create a customization for this but the cost was too high.

Managing Renovation Projects in MaintainX?

I realize that MaintainX isn’t designed so much for project management, but has anyone figured out some work around for how to structure things where it could work well enough for such a task? Here is the scenario: Multi tenant office building and we are constantly doing renovations of office spaces. The usually involves removing a couple walls, adding in a couple new walls, replacing some doors, new lighting, carpet, paint, etc. It’s far from a standard ‘work order’ but it is also equally as far from needing yet another software for construction management.. I avoid spreadsheets when possible.. The problems in this I’m looking to solve is really scheduling and task tracking to ensure we are on schedule and not forgetting anything.. Thanks

Linking Purchase Orders to Work Orders

Is there a way to link a Purchase Order to a work order?For Work Orders that require one of parts, or contractor labour, it would be good to initiate a PO from the W/O and see a link between the two.

Our business has a need to issue POs in multiple currencies.Has anyone discovered a way to do this?The only way I can see to do this currently is to change the currency in settings each time I want a PO in another currency.

Utilization Reporting Filtered by Location and Category

The new utilization report is nice, but extremely limited in its usefulness. Has anyone found a way with Work Order or other reports, to determine utilization based on Location and including the Work Order category?We are an external service provider and we want to be able to view on a monthly basis what customer locations our engineers are spending the most time at and what types of work they are engaged in while they are at said customer. I’ve tried using a Work Order report and simply filtering by location and viewing total time logged, but we sometimes have work orders that are open longer than a single month.Additionally, the Utilization report would be very useful if I could filter on Category. We log some administrative and non-service related tasks and time in the system, and I’d like to view only direct labor utilization. Does anyone have any insights or ideas that I might be overlooking?

Looking to add an additional category to the list

I may not have permissions, but I cannot find where to add an additional category to the existing list.  There are no areas to select under the category tab.  Within the work order it gives and option when you start typing but just goes away when the “+” is pressed.  Thanks in advance!

Offline MaintainX Training Materials

How often, if ever, do you or your maintenance teams require MaintainX training materials that can be accessed offline?For context, we have training material available in MaintainX Academy and product documentation in our Help Center, but both require access to the internet. In the past, our customers have occasionally asked for training materials as PDFs, so they can share them with their teams offline or in some cases even print them. This type of request doesn’t come up too often, so I’m trying to get a sense of whether maintaining offline training material would serve a real need.To help illustrate, an example of offline training material would be something like a PDF ‘MaintainX Technician Training Manual’ that could be downloaded via a portal accessible to anyone with a MaintainX account.
