Is there a way to filter who you receive notifications from?
I would like to have notifications for everything our head engineer does, but not notifications for everything everyone does. If this doesn’t exist, please consider adding it in the future.
Thanks (:

This is a great idea, I would like to see this added as well- I get a lot of notifications that don’t apply often!

Thanks for this suggestion @emilyhuckie! It’s currently not possible to filter the types of notifications you receive by user. We’ve got this recorded as a feature request for a future enhancement to notifications.

Is it possible to do it by department?

@Shane Crofoot It is not possible to filter notifications by department either. With departments, you could consolidate your communication/activity by setting them up as teams in MaintainX (and you could make yourself a member of each team). Then in the Messages module, you can use the dedicate message channel for that team to see a record of any work orders assigned to that team.

You can read more about how to set up teams in MaintainX here: https://help.getmaintainx.com/create-and-manage-teams

It’s far from a perfect solution if your goal is to get filtered notifications for specific departments, but it is a step in that direction.

Also, for anyone following this thread, here is a help article that breakdowns all types of entities and events that can trigger notifications in MaintainX: https://help.getmaintainx.com/about-notifications
