We got a quarry in Boston that got a dump of snow this last week and set us back a whole day in production. What weather management strategies do you have? Or do you just forecast that in your projections?

We got hit with very wet snow that would change to rain for periods here in Chicago. It was miserable. We were able to avoid shutdowns but took a lot of labor to keep the plant safe.

MaintainX was able to help us build out and integration that works with local weather service and if they put out an alert a work order is sent out to a few different teams of ours. It’s been very helpful.

I can’t relate to a quarry but it sounds very interesting.  How often does this happen?
If you know weather is projected to hit hard like this, are their places employees can stay ovenight so they can tackle the situation as soon as possible?  (Cost/benefit may or may not support)  just a thought.

We got about 6 inches of snow here in KY. we have a program that puts employees in a hotel for the night as long as they live outside the county where the office is located.
