Can I add team members holidays to the work calendar so they can be seen as away when scheduling?

Probably not directly, but I imagine the best workaround for this would be to create an 8 or 10 hour long work order (possibly using a work order template) and assigning that work order to whoever you're trying to block off in the workload view.

You can manage custom work schedules with our Resource Planning module which includes Workload view. I’ve uploaded an example of that would work below:
