Hello. When we originally started making PM’S, we set a recurrence date on specific PM’s. Recently we found that some of the PM’s were not getting done. What we found was some of the PM’s that we put a recurrence on and assigned to specific maintenance personnel, were being changed (the recurrence date). On the PM’s or work orders, there is an edit button in the top right hand corner. Is there a way to eliminate or lock out lower level users from being able to use the edit button to change recurrence times/dates, or the “assigned to” option? It doesn’t make sense as a manager to be assigning work to specific employees, just to have them assign it to someone else or be able to change the due date/time, or the recurrence date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We ran into this exact problem often. Custom permissions is an enterprise feature that allows you to control these types of actions. Keep in mind that the permission for this is all or nothing with editing work orders. We couldn’t differentiate between a user group being able to move due dates and reassigning the work order, for example.
If enterprise is out of the question, I would recommend keeping an eye on scheduled exports and have conditional formatting in sheets/excel highlight anything that stands out.
Sounds good. Thanks for the reply
