Is there any way I can import data into MaintainX. My control system is able to export data such as running hours, faults etc. Can I import this information into MaintainX, preferably automatically every xx hours?

Hi Paul,

Yes, this may be possible! MaintainX has data connectors that can automatically bring in equipment data from common control systems. The right setup depends on your control system and how it makes that data available:

  • Connect your control system: Data connectors can link systems such as Ignition, Kepware, or an MQTT broker to MaintainX, bringing in signals like running hours, machine status, and faults.
  • Use the incoming data: Automatically update meter readings, trigger maintenance based on actual running hours, or drive automations when equipment conditions change.

You can learn more about our data connectors in the Help Center. For a broader introduction, MaintainX Academy has a course called Introduction to Machine Connectivity that covers how to power maintenance automations with data.

For next steps, I’d recommend contacting our Support team. In MaintainX, select Support → Contact Support to send the team a message. You can also email support@getmaintainx.com or review the Support options here.

They can confirm the connection options and address additional questions you have.
