Is there a way to add more than one requester to a work order so that several people can comment and get status updates?

I’ve also been curious about this. One of our departments consists of 5 active requesters. They always had the issue of being limited by being a requester so I switched the department head to a full user account with limited visibility so that they had at least one person who could see everything and relay the information to the rest if needed. But If there’s a better way I’m interested to know!

With the new share work order externally feature, you could send a link directly do someone. Like they were a vendor, and then they could interact with the work order,(comment, close work order)

Or you can make a group chat with all the requesters in the chat and share the work order link inside there.

This is a great tip @Jesse Smith and an awesome way to leverage our new external share feature. One reminder with our external share feature, make sure you have setup or reviewed your default shared work order access settings (https://app.getmaintainx.com/settings/features/externalWorkOrders) to avoid sharing information you don’t want others to see.

It would be helpful if you could add multiple requesters at once when submitting a request or add them later as a work order (like adding multiple people to a Google Doc). For example, if an administrator wants to submit a request and wants their admin asst. to have access and get updates as well.

The one 'concern' we've had with the external vendor feature is that you can't track comments or procedure steps back to the individual, it just appears as 'external vendor' as the user tag as opposed to a named individual. Its a great feature, but we work in a regulated industry so need full traceability back to the individual.

Definitely makes sense - the best solution to maintain full individual level tracking would be to enable those individuals as full users and limit their permissions if organization wide visibility is a concern. As a registered user, we are able to maintain validate their credentials through our login system. That said, we will make sure to share this feedback with our team.
