I've put QR codes all over the plant. It brings up a request portal . I've mentioned it to operators. They don't understand English too well and I don't understand Spanish. This is more than just a maintenance request portal. It's a comment box . I don't have much participation yet but I will let you know how it turns out. I want the operators to have a voice.
Hi
Thanks for sharing this and great idea to put those request portal QR codes up! We’ve seen that work as an excellent strategy for many of our clients.
While we are working on some thoughtful and responsible solutions to supporting translation, I’d first ask how your team is communicating with those Spanish operators prior to using MaintainX?
It might be a good idea to involve someone who speaks Spanish and English in the request approval process to help make sure you can process their requests in the meantime.
Curious to hear how other MaintainX folks are handling multi-language operations as well
We posted QR codes using the minimal version of the QR code and our own captions in a word doc. You could have both English and Spanish captions (via Google Translate) explaining what the code is for. Including pictures is also pretty universal.
