Is there a way to indicate if an asset is down in the service request? Once a work order is created from the request identifying asset is down can MaintainX automatically change status to DOWN then upon WO completion automatically return to ONLINE? Trying to remove manual tracking to reduce potential human error.
The requestor can take the equipment offline when they place their work request. The tech would then have to put it back online when the work is completed.
In my usage I would prefer it this way due to the fact that not all issues would take the asset down. It may be as simple as a bad light on the panel that would not stop the machine from being operated.
On the other end, when a work order is completed, the asset may not be ready to be put back in service. There may be another outlying issue attached to a different work order that would keep it from being operational.
I feel the pain of the human factor. I forget to change the status at times when there is a cluster of issues going on. I then have to backtrack and correct it manually.
I know this doesn’t give the answer you needed, but I hope it gives insight as to why it may be difficult in some situations yo have it change automatically.
