I would like to create a report of work orders showing the number of open work orders by month so that I can keep an eye on old work orders that are not getting completed. I’d like to then be able to click into the number and view the work orders. I’m not finding a lot of instruction on how to build reports within the native MX platform so if there’s any useful tutorials please point me in the right direction.

Have you had any luck with this..This would be incredibly useful to me as well.

@wyso0017 if you go to reporting and export data you can filter on open work orders over whatever time period you want and dump that into an Excel file. Hope this helps

I know this is a month old, but probably the best option I have found for something like this would be to use the Status pre-made report and filter by overdue or a specific date range (See the first image).  Then if you click into Open you can see a list of all the overdue WOs that are still open, and that list has both a list view and a detailed view, the detailed view (accessed by clicking the two crossed arrows symbol in the top-right if you’re in list view, see the second image) can be sorted by any of the categories up top, the most helpful for this purpose are either id#, created on, or due date.

As far as saving the report after you have built it, after you have set the filters you need you can click the + sign in the top right of any report and that will enable you to save it to a custom dashboard along with any currently applied filters.

I know this answer was kind of long, but I hope it helps.
