I use the same procedure on multiple pieces of equipment. I simply open a new WO template, add the procedure and configure the WO. Use this template to then assign the different assets. It will be 1 WO with the shared procedure embedded for each asset.
For instance I have 4 forklifts that require the same checks every morning, which are in a procedure. Each forklift gets its own WO each morning with the procedure to complete.
Hope that helps
@seanlawless When you set up the new template do you leave the asset blank and then just add an asset as needed? if it’s this simple that’s great.
Thank you,
John
@JCathey You can make the procedure within the work order and check the box for “Save to library” or go to Library > Procedures and make it there. When making a PM for a similar model, you can attach the procedure from your library.
Alternatively, if your new PM is expected to be the same, you can open your existing PM work order and use the dropdown menu (three dots in top right corner) to “Copy to new work order”. Everything including the procedure will carry over- just change the asset and the title to match the new asset.
