With the Premium plan in MaintainX, is it possible to generate asset maintenance reports? If so, how can I create reports that document all the work performed and costs incurred for a selected list of assets?
Is there any way of reorganizing tasks too allow for better workflow? I have tasks assigned that are out of order and make the workflow very inefficient. I am unable to find a way to reorganize tasks for a better flow to reduce engineer travel downtime, if followed as per top to bottom on the mobile app.
Anyone tried to manage SDS Sheets and inventory in MaintainX?I’d love to know if you’ve set something up in your system to help manage the continual bane of SDS sheet management, and what you did if you do.Right now, I’m only running a work order reminder to do my room by room checks for new materials (Because it is like gnomes sneak the chemicals in in the middle of the night without updating SDS books)Just curious if anyone has successfully found a way to adapt MaintainX to help with that particular headache in Factory/facility safety management.
Am I able to upload videos to work orders and requests? Anytime I try, it appears as if they’re loading but then they just don’t show up.
I have 7 different Machines on my shop floor. My operators who run these machines are not allowed phones on the floor. They also don’t have company email addresses. Each machine has a windows workstation.Their team leaders do (have company phones & emails & have the MaintainX app), but are not always at the machine. At the min, if my machine operators have a breakdown or issue, they say to my engineers - then if my engineer remembers, he will log the ticket. To get around it on a Test machine. I’ve signed up for a requestor account called the machine name using a disposable email address. Then they use the browser on the machine to raise a WO/Ticket. I want to get away from my engineers doing jobs without a record. So I was going to tell my operators to raise a ticket 1st - I was also going to tell my engineers not to do any jobs that don’t have a ticket. How do you do this?
I was using Iphone 15 and Upgraded to 16 pro max and not receiving any notifications since then from maintainx. What to do?
Hi, Would be good if you could enter an actual time on completion along side of the estimated time for completing a job. Also a description of what was done to complete this work order, and have these come out on the reports.ThanksPeter.
It would be a game changer to have an option to generate next due dates based on last completion dates for re-occurring work orders. What’s the chances of actually developing this feature?
I would like to use Postman to update several of my assets. I am able to get Postman to connect to MX database but am unsure how I would make a change to bunch of assets using a csv file. Has anyone done this before?
Hi all,As a maintenance manager I often want to submit a maintenance request instead of immediately creating a work order so I can review priorities with other team members before scheduling the work order. Is there an easy way to be a requestor as well as an administrator? Is there a way to toggle between modes?
I just upgrade from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 16Pro. I used to get all my request notifications and updates to work orders (if I was part of the assignees). It looks like all the settings in the app are set correctly, but I no longer get the request notifications. I’m sure its something simple, but I’m not seeing it. Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to create a Bill of Materials in MaintainX?
In the work order tab (table view), I have our work orders set up in the order in which they are due. On the rare occasion that the work order goes “overdue” the date’s font turns red. Is there any settings to make it turn yellow (or just something other than black) like a day or two before the due date? Just so one can see at a quick glance the work orders that are getting ready to be due. Thanks in advance!
Would anyone know if there is a way to create reminder notifications for upcoming work order due dates or start dates?
We created a procedure to preventative maintenance checklist. We would like to automatically generate a work order when the No is selected in the Yes, No, N/A field. Is there a way to do this?
Good morning, all. I would like to know how to print a specific asset list; i.e. just a list of my pumps or relief valve. I’m sure it’s easy, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Thanks, Mark
Hi there, I have been using MaintainX for the past few months, and I really like it for the most part, however, there are some functionality issues I have found, such as: We have over (100) requesters in our system, but they currently do not receive a notification of a new comment or tagged item within their requested work order. A requester has to manually check their requested work order for the additional comms; however, they end up emailing or calling us to find out why they aren’t receiving notifications or asking what is happening with their requested work order, which is adding significant delays to the resolution of a work order and unnecessary admin. It allows you to tag their name in the comments but doesn’t notify them. Having 2-way comms within each work order would streamline the process considerably. Currently a requester will only receive notifications when their request is approved, declined or completed. Proposed improvement: Allow requesters to receive all notificatio
I hope someone can help me on this topic. I want to be able to set the asset working days and hours to reflect correctly when viewing the online and offline data. Thank you. Brent
There is a useful “Minimum in Stock” tool within MaintainX, however there is no “Maximum in Stock” tool. When placing parts and/or consumable orders, MaintainX will automatically fill in the “Units Ordered” field with the number needed to get inventory back to the minimum level, however it would be more useful to have MaintainX auto fill this number to the maximum units needed. The system is good at showing the items that “need restock” based off the minimum units, but to have it also autofill the ordered units based off the maximum units would make this process perfect. Thanks!
Does anyone have any suggestions/examples of MaintainX integrated into a PowerBI dashboard? After some ideas for dashboard format and layout for a manufacturing facility. - What data to include- Effective ways to display metrics-Ways to achieve 'deep dives' into specific data TIA
I tend to view locations as sites (aka job-sites, property sites). Is there a way to assign a location to a region, and a district if applicable, and then when looking up locations, on screen, I can see/sort by region, and drill down to district, when needed? Further, would I also then (if the above is available) be able to see active, complete, in progress, etc. work orders by region, and if needed district)?
Hello. When we originally started making PM’S, we set a recurrence date on specific PM’s. Recently we found that some of the PM’s were not getting done. What we found was some of the PM’s that we put a recurrence on and assigned to specific maintenance personnel, were being changed (the recurrence date). On the PM’s or work orders, there is an edit button in the top right hand corner. Is there a way to eliminate or lock out lower level users from being able to use the edit button to change recurrence times/dates, or the “assigned to” option? It doesn’t make sense as a manager to be assigning work to specific employees, just to have them assign it to someone else or be able to change the due date/time, or the recurrence date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am curious if/ how other are using Mx to document work, events etc outside the Work Order system. For example if I respond to an alarm, but no work is required, how are you capturing the alarm event so that there is a history? What I am looking for is a complete asset history, all work orders, in promptu inspections, etc.
Wondering if there is a way to organize the columns on this view (move the columns around)? A screen like this is like an “overview” of active work orders and moving the column locations, while also removing some columns (filters) allows the user to reorganize the way they view work in progress. In fact, this would be a nice feature on all table view screens.
We are using MaintainX to track certain equipment calibrations. We have the work order categorized as “calibration” Is there a way to have the “last calibration date” updated when a calibration work order is completed? This seems like a pretty basic function. Otherwise it requires manually updating every asset in addition to performing the work order.MaintainX offered to create a customization for this but the cost was too high.
